Recent estimates indicate that over 80% of the energy consumed by a non-residential building can be subject to some form of control. Much of this amount is not controlled, and the main cause of this is the lack of efficient and suitable management and monitoring systems. In this respect, some of the major building and energy certifications have begun to give greater weight to structures that have an efficient regulating system.
With its new ERGO LIGHT Monitoring System, Galletti is striving to meet the need for controlling small residential complexes, service areas, and premises used for a wide range of activities, guaranteeing efficiency and technology at the service of the customer.
Hydronic indoor units and generation system – The development philosophy for ERGO LIGHT has been to centrally control and monitor individual hydronic indoor units and any generation system consisting of a chiller, a heat pump, or a Galletti multi-purpose unit. Indoor units can be grouped up to a maximum of 10 zones, and all the features can be managed through simple and intuitive dedicated screens.
Networks and communication – The system relies on the Modbus RTU communication protocol and uses EVO series controls to manage up to a maximum of 10 distinct zones. These zones can be comprised of multiple hydronic indoor units capable of replicating remotely communicated information through power-line communication. Any heat pump is also connected to the communication bus via the RS485 serial port, which can be inserted into any Galletti unit during its configuration.
Touch Screen Interface – With ERGO LIGHT, technology is not set aside: the monitoring software’s hardware support is comprised of a convenient 7” touch screen display that can be installed in the electric control board or in whatever position is considered most suitable for monitoring the system.
Simple Graphics, Effective Controls – A strong point that distinguishes ERGO LIGHT is the extreme ease of configuration and modification of its main settings: the various user-interface interaction screens were developed to ensure immediate identification of the most relevant parameters. Such simplicity does not, however, affect the effectiveness of the system, which can also handle very extensive installations.
